After many years of working in sales and finance, I decided to change gears after being offered an opportunity to do what I love by being involved with a food truck. I learned a lot from that experience and knew there was nothing like the feeling of making people happy by serving something you are proud of.

Striking out on my own, I opened Rocket Burger at the Northside Market in 2015. My goal was to use the best quality ingredients, but maintain a high value for money; a very hard balance to have, but it was important to me for everyone to be able to have a great quality meal.

After winning the YFC Burger Battle 2018 and co-winning again in 2019, our popularity was gaining, helping to open my first full restaurant in July 2019.

My staff are just as important to me as my customers as I wouldn’t be anywhere without the hard work and dedication they have put in over the years. I support paying a living wage as I see how it is reflected in the care and passion they have for the job.

Today we are proud to still use fresh, local meat and produce. We make all our products daily from scratch, using real ingredients. Quality and our customers experience is at the top of the priority list.

Our future goals are to continue making the same great burgers, expand our menu and get creative, and hope to see a few more Rocket Burger restaurants.
